Your new role

As a Hardware Engineer, you are responsible for designing, testing, and supervising the production of hardware for automation systems. You ensure quality control, conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and collaborate with various departments to deliver integrated technical solutions. You work together with our Service & Support, System and Application Engineers tocontribute to a sustainable future!

As Hardware Engineer you will:

• Design, test, and supervise the assembly of system and marshalling cabinets.
• Conduct quality checks at subcontractors, FAT tests at the office, and SAT tests on-site.
• Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and external commissioning teams.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize your own work, with regular feedback to the project organization.
• Prepare documentation, including test methods, procedures, and reports.

You will work on technical solutions in collaboration with sales, customers, and project teams. You will translate customer requirements into a concrete design based on standard solutions or customized specifications. By continuously monitoring progress and quality, you ensure deadlines are met, and the highest quality standards are maintained.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, or an MBO diploma in Electronics with relevant practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a hardware engineer in industrial automation or electrical engineering.
• Experience with testing and test procedures, preferably with DCS/PLC systems and related equipment.
• Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, including ATEX, NEN 1010, and NEN 3140.
• Willingness to travel internationally and possession of a category B driver’s license.
• Independence, a practical mindset, decisiveness, and a proactive work attitude.
• Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and excellent troubleshooting abilities.
