Job Description
Wood is recruiting for a Principal Network & Cyber Security Engineer experienced in Automation and Control Network design and implementation to join our Systems Integration team as part of Woods Consulting business unit to support across our UK projects.
This is a hybrid role that can be based at any of the following UK offices: Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton with the expectation of travel as required.
Applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

Responsibilities
The RoleThe Principal Network & Cyber Security Engineer will support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance. As a Principal Network & Cyber Security Engineer, you will assist in the provision of cyber security, networking, secure architectures, solutions, vulnerability and risk assessments, technologies and procedures to support Wood assignments / project teams and clients.This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with previous project experience who has the capability to discover vulnerabilities and risks in networks, software systems and data centers through ongoing vulnerability scans, monitoring network data, and ensuring hardware and software applications are updated.Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Inter-discipline review of deliverables from other departments. Produce Material requisition and contribute to Technical Bid evaluationReview Vendor Drawing and consolidate comments generated by other disciplinesSupport the Lead Engineer in accomplishing project objectivesApply integration concepts to a wide variety of systems and across multiple vendor platformsEngineer technical aspects of automation project network design and / or implementation for assigned activitiesUndertakes Cyber Security Risk Assessments providing advice and guidance for implementation of Cyber Security Risk Assessment findings mitigating actionsSupport in evaluating client’s security posture, identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and areas for improvementStay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practicesProvide support to standardising project execution / workflow

Expected: Minimum BSc Degree or equivalent demonstratable experienceSignificant experience and competency in Control System Network Design EngineeringGood understanding of IEC62443 Industrial Cyber SecurityGood understanding of IEC 27001 / 2 Information Security ManagementGood general knowledge of each Automation and Control engineering disciplineExperienced in writing Network specificationsDetailed experience with multiple system implementation project and / or control system platformsExperience in Brownfield upgrades / replacement automation and control projectsExperience of Networks containing Rockwell and Schneider PLC / SCADA systems is advantageousMust have thorough knowledge of engineering practices, methodologies and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specificationsKnowledge of modern automation and control applications, tools, methodologies, or equal training / experienceExperience of OT Intrusion Detection Systems is advantageousGood working knowledge of current industry specific technology and the application of current engineering software / tools and trendsInquisitive, well organized and have a keen eye for detailGood level of experience in similar role Hands on experience of using cybersecurity toolsGood knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity standards, data protection frameworks, and maintaining complianceMulti sector knowledge and global project experience in relevant areasIdentifying, defining, and solving client problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDesirable: Good knowledge of process automation, dynamic/real-time systems, and relevant technologiesGood knowledge and experience in implementing security practices and controls related to architecture, governance, risk, and compliance managementGood knowledge and experience with vulnerability management, risk management, compliance, and penetration testing tools
