Overview

Yokogawa provides advanced technologies and services in the areas of measurement, control, and information to customers across a broad range of industries, including energy, chemicals, materials, pharmaceuticals, food, and water.We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help usmaintainand further developour quality products and processes.

Job Summary

The functionof the Local Manufacturing & DesignEngineering group is to expand the Yokogawaproductbusiness by leading the implementation of new local products through local manufacturing (LM) and design whilefacilitatingstrong communicationwithour headquarters (YHQ), Product Management (PMG) and affiliates.There are four main product lines which the group supports: Analytical,Controllers/Recorders,Flowand Transmitters.

This role isacombination of manufacturing and design engineering.You will be tasked withcreationand maintenanceofproduct drawingsandBOM’s, developing procedures,maintainingproductcomplianceand supporting the manufacturing lines. Reports toLocalManufacturing& DesignEngineeringManager.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Create andmaintainmanufacturingdocumentation forall LM productsto ensure theymeet globalproduct manufacturing specifications.

• Manage budget, schedule, production preparation, meetings andapproval process for local manufacturing projectsas assigned.

• Work withprojectteamto ensure tasks areappointedand completed withinprojectschedule.

• Conduct project meetings with regular cadence to keepallmembers and stakeholders updated with status and action items.

• Participate in designing new local products. Thisincludes, but is not limited to,drawings, BOMs, procedures, prototyping,testingand certifications.

• Check and approve drawings asrequired.

• Communicatewithexternalvendorsto source neworalternateparts as needed.

• Estimate costsandcreaterequired documentationforspecial orders(Tokuchus).

• Support the reduction of manufacturing costs through designor processchanges, implementation ofequipmentandothercreative solutions.

• Assistincontinuous improvementsto meet safety, quality,costand deliveryrequirements.

• Responsible for uncompromising quality to all work processes in designatedareaof responsibility. Has the authority to stopsaidprocesses any time quality isbelieved tobe compromised.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

RequiredSkills:

• CAD skills,2D (AutoCADorDraftSight)and/or3D (SOLIDWORKS).

• Highproficiencywith Microsoft Office tools (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).

• Must be a self-starterable to work aloneon tasksandwilling toask questions.

• Effective communication (written and oral)to technicalandnon-technicalaudiences.

• Comfortable interfacing with many different individuals anddemonstratecooperation and interaction across stakeholders.

• Ability to receive constructive feedback and/or coaching and respond appropriately.

OtherSkills:

(Preferred,but notrequired)

• Electrical knowledge and understanding of field instruments

• Experience withhazardous location requirements and ratings.

• Knowledge ofprocess related standards(ASTM,ANSI, NFPA, etc.).

Education & Experience:

• BS degree inEngineeringor Engineering Technology.

• Previousexperience (1to 5 years) in a manufacturing environmentorin design workispreferred butnotrequired.

Work Environment:

• Work performed inofficeenvironment(~70%)andmanufacturing facility(~30%).

• Time spent in manufacturing is often related toestablishingnewproducts.

• Will require attending meetingswith international members (headquarters and affiliates)outside normaloperating business hours.

Physical Demand:

• The employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for a reasonable amount of time.

• Occasionally required toliftupto50 pounds.
