About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our OT Cybersecurity team. This is a hands-on opportunity to support the protection of critical infrastructure and industrial control systems (ICS) from cyber threats. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and cybersecurity professionals to help identify risks, monitor networks, and strengthen defenses in a dynamic, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting cybersecurity assessments of industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and other OT networks.

• Support the monitoring and analysis of OT network traffic and system logs for anomalies or security events.

• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and security documentation.

• Collaborate across teams (IT, engineering, safety) to support incident response activities.

• Stay current with OT cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and emerging best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong interest in OT, ICS/SCADA systems, or critical infrastructure protection.

• Familiarity with networking concepts, common protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3), and industrial environments is a plus.

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (CIA triad, threat models, etc.).

• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work in a team-based environment.

Well qualified candidates will have previous experience with tools like Wireshark, Splunk, or Security Onion, knowledge of NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, or MITRE ATT&CK for ICS, and previous exposure to PLCs, HMIs, or network segmentation principles.
