We are seeking a skilled and motivatedControls Engineerto design, build, and install turnkey control systems. This role demands a self-reliant engineer with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to tackle unique challenges across diverse industries, including automotive, chemical, manufacturing, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and wood products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and developelectrical control panelsfor machines and automation systems.
• Create and implementPLC and HMI programstailored to project needs.
• Ensure compliance withcurrent safety standardsin all designs and systems.
• Commission and troubleshootVFDs,motor controls, andservo motor applications.
• Diagnose and resolve issues withindustrial networkssuch as Ethernet/IP and Profinet.
• Lead projects from inception to completion, including budget management, scheduling, and customer communication.
• Oversee system installation and startup, ensuring operational excellence.
• (Preferred) Program and integrate industrial robots, such asFANUC systems.
• Interpret, modify, and developmechanical and electrical drawings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineeringis preferred;will consider other related fields.
• Proven expertise inPLC programming, with a preference forAllen Bradley/RockwellandGE/Emersonplatforms.
• Hands-on experience withmotor controls, including motor starters, VFDs, and DC drives.
• Strong understanding ofindustrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and modifying HMI components, control network components, and automated equipment.
• Proficiency in interpreting and developing technical drawings and schematics.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience withindustrial robotics programming(e.g., FANUC).
• Background in vision systems and custom manufacturing equipment is a plus.

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel is required (approximately 25%).
