Yokogawa Marex has an exciting opportunity for agraduatefrontend software developerwith experience in user interface development.
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, as a graduate frontend developer in our software development team, you will have a Bachelor level degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar coming from university or with one to two years experience in a software development environment focused on web technologies.
You will be developing web applications and be responsible for the design and implementation of complex software components with adherence to quality processes that lead to the delivery of high-quality, responsive applications and solutions that satisfy customer requirements.
You will have a technical background and understanding of the software development lifecycle with experience in design, implementation and test.

As a Frontend Developer you will:
• Create and review requirements, functional and design specifications, for the development of complex frontend solutions.
• Work closely with the project manager to create and execute frontend development projects delivering high quality products
• Develop, modify and review frontend components, adhering to quality standards in line with requirement, functional and design specifications.
• Plan, design and develop tests (including automated unit tests) to meet quality metrics.
• Diagnose and assist the support team to resolve frontend issues including usability, configuration and coding.
• Optimise the use of technology in the development of software solutions.
We are looking for a colleague with:
• Bachelor level degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 andJavaScript/TypeScript.
• Enthusiasm, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), be customer focused, thrive on problem solving, have an attention to detail and be a team player.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Office.
Desirable but not essential:
• Experience in the development of frontend applications using ASP.NET Core and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular.
• Experience of software development in the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, DevOps and GitHub.
• Experience with modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite).
• Experience of SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Awareness of technology and software trends.

• Working at our offices in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight. 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with flexibility required to meet customer and business needs.
