AtYokogawa Romania,we are looking for new colleague in the position of:

System Engineer

40 hrs/week

This is what you are going to do!

As System Engineer you will be the technical focal point for system design from hand-over by Sales department to project closing. You will design and build an industrial automation system compliant with project technical objectives, within schedule deadlines and budget, ensuring quality, safe installation and operation as well as performance to agreed requirements.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Analyze, verify, complete and translate the User Requirements Specification into Front End Engineering and Design, Functional Design Specification and/or high-level system design documents ready for customer approval.
• Analyze the (sub-)system work breakdown structure (WBS) in co-operation with project engineer, complete it and make an optimum sequential execution planning, observing the agreed specifications, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Make the detailed system design, including interfaces. Safeguard the system integrity, technical quality, safe operation, and performance in accordance with requirements. Include the design requirements for a safe and flawless start-up.
• Co-ordinate and/or realize the configuration and assembly of the system, compliant with the detailed design ready for internal test. Prepare for integration in the total automation system.
• Make technical specifications for procurement and supervise the supplier(s), resulting in timely deliveries compliant with specifications. Direct the suppliers technically.
• Lead and/or execute the internal test of a system, perform FAT readiness tests, resulting in the system being ready for FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) or for integration in an automation system.
• Support the project engineers and execute and/or lead the FAT, transition to site, site installation, commissioning and Site Acceptance Test (SAT), resulting in a customer accepted and handed over system, with documents authorized by customer.
• Make sure that project technical objectives are met by monitoring project progress in terms of technical design and implementation, changes, resources, schedule and budget, and by taking immediate corrective actions where necessary. Perform strict scope and change control to realize the most efficient execution.
• Formalize the customer acceptance of the project and bring it to an orderly end. Formalize a project’s closing in case the project is put on hold or cancelled.
• Implement re-useable engineering in standard libraries

We are looking for a colleague with:

• Bachelor level with a technical background, e.g. Industrial Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical Technology, with 3-5 years of work experience OR academic level with no prior work experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills, time management skills
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of system architecture and engineering processes.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good English language skills (written/spoken). Native/Proficient Romanian speaker.
