Master Data Management (MDM) is a comprehensive method of enabling an enterprise to link all its critical data to one source, called a master source, that provides a common point of reference. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our product master data. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Your expertise in data analysis, data quality management, and product data governance will be instrumental in driving data integrity, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting the overall success of our product management initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter with deep technical and analytical skills, who can get results and manage their own projects. They must be able to collaborate with other teams, and drive results.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Establish and enforce product data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance rules, data entry standards, and data quality metrics.
• Perform data analysis and validation to identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies.
• Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data models, and data management guidelines.
• Conduct regular data quality audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with IT teams to define and implement data governance tools and technologies.
• Provide guidance and support to product managers and other collaborators on data governance best practices and processes.
• Work closely with multi-functional teams to identify and prioritize data governance and data quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to product data governance and management.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data management processes and workflows.
• Assist in the training and development of team members and stakeholders on data governance and data management practices.
• Understand NI product portfolio and technology at a high level.
• Research and drive decisions on technical attribute creation based on enterprise needs.
• Understands impact of data requests (new or modified fields) and provides cross-functional product data consulting.
• Performs data analysis, data gathering and data entry.
• Clearly communicate project status and results.
• Compose effective cross-team and inter-departmental communications.

For This Role, You Will Need:
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in product data management and data governance, preferably within a master data management team or related function.
• Good understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality management.
• Experience working with product data and familiarity with product management concepts.
• Proficient in data analysis, data profiling, and data validation techniques.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies is advantageous.
• Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in data management software, database tools, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with large taxonomies or product catalog is preferred.
• Ability to write and pull reports using SQL.
• Ability to understand technical data and comfortable working with technical teams.
• Self-Starter, high-level of ownership, proactive nature, problem-solving abilities.
• Solution driven – strong analytical skills to identify, analyze and solve problems given ambiguous information.
• Demonstrable ability to foster new ideas, cultivate concepts, and guide concept development.
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks for several projects simultaneously, often on short timelines.
