As a Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer here atHoneywell Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions (SETS), you will play a critical role in the design, development and implementation of advanced hardware solutions for our process automation products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions, working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative hardware solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop advanced hardware solutions for process automation products
• Work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new technologies for hardware development
• Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
• Identify opportunities for process and product improvements and contribute to the optimization of operations
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members
• Your expertise in hardware engineering will contribute to the success of our cutting-edge technologies and solutions that help our customers optimize their industrial processes.
• Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in ensuring the performance, reliability, and quality of our hardware products.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Proven experience in hardware design and development
WE VALUE
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in the process automation industry is of value.
• Knowledge of analog and/or digital circuit design
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
• Proficient in using simulation and modeling tools for hardware design
• Experience with FPGA and DSP design
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus) is of value.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
