As aSr Advanced Electrical Engineerat Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading the design and development of advanced electrical systems and components. As part of a cross-functional team, you will use your technical experience in the domains of electrical design and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) to develop robust mission critical systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems and components with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of electronic products meet EMC requirements (mechanical packaging, electrical design, board layout, interconnect/grounding strategies, signal integrity, etc.)
• Perform EMC analysis to aid electrical and mechanical designers to meet or exceed EMC requirements and resolve issues as needed
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools
• Proficiency in EMC analysis related to EMI/EMC/lightning filtering and design at the circuit and PBA level
• Experience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (examples include use of LTSpice, Mathcad, EMA3D, etc.)
WE VALUE
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding but not necessarily mastery, of power supply, analog, digital, data bus, and RF circuits
• Knowledge ofRTCA DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD-810design and compliance documents
• Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Design Flow (i.e. DxDesigner, Constraint Manager, HyperLynx Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and Layout), Mathcad, Timing Designer, MS Excel, and LTSpice.
• Knowledgeable in project estimation, planning, and cost and schedule management
• Self-starter with ability to be self-directed and drive projects to conclusion from start to finish
• Ability to effectively mentor junior engineers
