Job Description

Wood is currently hiring Senior Telecom Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

To execute engineering Design, FEED and detail Engineering experience and Costing estimation for proposal in Telecom systems
Responsible for complete engineering document activities like preparing block diagram, functional design specification, datasheets, MR, equipment layouts, interconnection drawings, termination drawings, cabinet drawings
Take part in Technical bid evaluations, Vendor document review and approvals
Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
Provide discipline support to the business
Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports
Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution
Deputizing for principal as required
Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports
Executing assigned personal objectives
Management of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery
Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
Coaching and mentoring as delegated
Supervision of Graduate Engineers. Provides input to the performance management of direct reports
Manage and supervise direct reports  

 

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.
Have Bachelor of engineering in related discipline.
Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience
Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
Good working knowledge of the design tools and also ability to guide others in their use
Previous Middle East experience is essential
