Your responsibilities will include designing and developing embedded software, validating product functionality, applying cybersecurity standard processes, delivering well-written technical communications, and developing within a continuous integration and delivery environment. IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
• Develop, implement, and maintain functional safety concepts and requirements.
• Perform safety analysis and risk assessments, including FMEA, FTA, etc. to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Use object-oriented programming and design patterns to craft software that promotes efficiency, testability, and maintainability.
• Work within an agile process to design and build embedded software and products.
• Lead your team’s technical work to meet project objectives.
• Create and review safety plans, safety cases, and verification & validation plans.
• Use continuous integration to automate builds, testing, and revision control.
• Implement continuous improvements to the products and processes to increase quality and productivity.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or similar)
• 3-5+ years of related software engineering experience
• Experience/knowledge with C/C++ programming in an embedded and/or real-time operating system environment
• Experience/knowledge leading software development for products that comply with the IEC61508 Functional Safety standard
• Domain Driven Design Knowledge of software architectural principles
• Test Driven Development and Automated Unit Testing experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience/knowledge leading small teams
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
• Hold a current IEC61508 Functional Safety certification
• Experience/knowledge with Bash and CMake
• Experience/knowledge with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery software and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Cruise Control, CloudBees, etc.)
• Knowledge of industrial network protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus)
• Knowledge of Industrial Controls, particularly PLCs
• Experience with Ethernet networking protocols
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum
