Job Description

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Tengiz, Kazakhstan (for KZ passport holders).

Responsibilities

Review / understand of Scope Project and perform activities as per scope
Electrical Input to Project Plan
Identify Scope changes and report to Lead and Concerned Project Engineers
Participate in progress meetings and other meetings as required
Input for Progress Reports
Identify any concerns in the Projects and report to Lead and Project Engineers
Responsible for delivery of Electrical Documents / Drawings / Calculations/ Reports/ Studies/Job packs etc. as per Project Scope
Perform site visits as required and produce Reports
Ensure deliverables are produced to meet the acceptable Quality Level. Follow Project Schedule and control the Project Cost
Liaison / co-ordination with sub-contractors / vendors
Liaison with clients
Understand Client’s requirements and follow the requirements
Co-ordinating with other discipline. Responsible for IDC of other discipline documents, for Electrical interface
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult co-ordination requirements
Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering  
Specialising in Power systems would be an advantage  
A minimum experience of 7 years working in a multi-disciplinary Engineering office in a similar role is highly desirable 
Ability to Handle Electrical Engineering Activities of a Project independently 
Electrical System Software (will be an advantage)  
Communication Skills  
SPEL knowledge  
AutoCad  
ETAP basic  
Previous experience with Vendor review
