This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced electrical and instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to deliver precision, efficiency, and safety across complex industrial projects for high-profile clients.

The key objectives for this role are:

Designing and implementing advanced electrical and instrumentation systems to support complex industrial processes.
Improving system performance, reliability, and efficiency through the integration of automation and robust control strategies.
Ensuring all electrical systems and instrumentation comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and instrumentation issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.
Leading engineering projects from conception to completion, including team coordination, scheduling, and budget management.
Investigating and adopting innovative technologies to enhance system capabilities and future-proof operations.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 

Leading the design, modeling, and analysis of electrical and instrumentation systems across projects, tenders, and proposals in accordance with client specifications, international codes, and defined scopes of work.
Developing detailed engineering designs for field instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA, Integrated Control Systems (ICS), Fire and Gas Systems, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and telecommunications infrastructure.
Demonstrating proficiency in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), including Index generation, I/O list development, preparation of data sheets, and loop drawings.
Possessing strong experience in offshore electrical design, with proven expertise in RLE and FPSO projects.
Creating technical documentation such as data sheets, cause-and-effect matrices, control logic verification, and contributions to interdisciplinary interfaces.
Ensuring all engineering outputs align with industry best practices and the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Coordinating engineering activities with clients, project teams, and internal disciplines to ensure alignment and integration.
Contributing to project proposal development and pre-qualification documentation concerning electrical and instrumentation scope.
Proactively identifying and escalating issues impacting project performance to Project Managers and Discipline Leads.
Staying current with emerging technologies, materials, and international engineering standards to incorporate innovation into project execution.
Introducing enhanced work methodologies to boost productivity and efficiency.
Preparing construction work packs and overseeing engineering deliverables, including Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Vendor Document Reviews (VDR), and related follow-up actions.

Expected:

Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline
At least 8 to 15 Years of experience with instrumentation in the Oil & Gas environment
FPSO / Offshore experience is mandatory.
Experience in SPI – Specification and loop wiring module
Fully coherent in all international codes and standards.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-do attitude.
