Who You’ll Work With

As an independent division within Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, Inc., ControlTech Automation (CTA) is a control panel integrator and fabricator for process, packaging, utility, and other industries. CTA is based in St. Louis and specializes in control panels for systems integrators and production facilities located throughout the United States. CTA can provide control solutions for a single piece of equipment, an entire process, or a complete plant. CTA has engineering design capabilities or will build panels from customer-supplied design packages.

When you join ControlTech Automation as a Project Lead, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Control Systems Integration team and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

• We are currently seeking an experienced Project Lead to support our growing team in St. Louis, MO.
• Support the Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing teams, and report directly to the Engineering Manager.
• Interface with our client and distributor representatives.
• Act as liaison between Engineering and the Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.
• Release new orders and trigger parts releases based on production schedule.
• Identify, communicate, and help mitigate project risks.
• Identify projects that are falling behind schedule and devise a plan to get them on track.
• Identify part shortages and lead times.
• Manage EMS (internal project system) and new project system being developed.
• Coordinate shipping with client.
• Quote and identify alternate electrical components to optimize delivery, design, and cost.
• Participates in updating project plans and purchasing systems.
• Daily activities will be based on project timelines.

What You’ll Bring

• An associate degree (or higher) in business or technical school program. Non-Degreed professionals must have a minimum of 2 years equivalent experience.
• 1+ year(s) of related industrial automation fabrication experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organization, self-motivation, and goal oriented
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to prioritize activities to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize productivity.
• The ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)

Travel Requirements

• Regional travel may be required on a limited basis to support regional projects and activities.
