This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pre-Commissioning Supervisor (Electrical, F&G and I&C) with a proven track record to ensure systems and equipment are tested, verified, and ready for safe transition to commissioning in accordance with project specifications and HSE standards.

KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB: 
Keen safety awareness and advocacy; multi-discipline technical team leadership, planning and coordination of work within a simultaneous operations environment, having technical expertise relevant to design and operation of assigned systems and liaising with equipment engineers, equipment vendors, construction personnel and operations team members. 
CRITICAL SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Be responsible for understanding and executing Woods’s Safety Policies and Procedures throughout all phases of the project. Personal safety awareness and team safety awareness are necessary. 

Responsibilities

Knowledge of: Instrument, Fire and Gas (F&G) and Electrical theory, work methods, tools and testing equipment used in the commissioning of Oil/Gas Facilities Electronic Transmitters Valve Positioners DC Power Systems Analog and Discrete Signals Pneumatic Systems Hart Protocol Proficient in Control Logic Schemes Experience with various PLC, DCS, and Fire & Gas control systems PLC logic controls Process Automation Report writing and records maintenance.  Permit to work System Cause and Effect logic relationships of equipment The candidate must be able to manage instrument techs in the coordination of work. Occupational hazards and standard safety procedures.    RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Pre-Commissioning Manager in planning development and reporting. Developing detailed commissioning and start-up procedures for assigned instrumentation systems. Provide daily, on-site/in-field leadership, coordination and management of a multi-discipline team of electrical commissioning leads and technicians. Interact with the Engineering and Operations team to input and draw from experience and knowledge when developing procedures. Ensure preparation and approve job cards for Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning activities. Liaise with Construction/Mechanical Completion groups daily. Supervise the Instrument Commissioning Team in meeting scheduled deadlines and ensuring the technical integrity of work carried out. Control of job card allocation and completion. Assist Construction with inspection and Punch Lists of installation and vendor packages.  Acceptance of Mechanically complete sub-systems packages. Manage the completion of walk-downs and Punch Lists of offered system/sub-systems. Manage instrumentation/automation vendor support during the commissioning phase for the assigned systems. Verification of Pre-Commissioning certification. Updating and forwarding the Punch List per system to the CMS/Database Operator Addressing Instrumentation Commissioning issues and resolving schedule conflicts within the Instrumentation team. Ensure all documentation; tools, consumables and equipment are available to perform work scope. Ensure Technicians work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with site procedures and PTW system. Coordination of Certifying Authority witnessing on site. Coordination of functional testing of commissioned systems and engaging the Operations Team when and where needed. Provide Operations with technical support throughout start-up, stabilization and performance testing. Provide the Turnover Coordinator with the required handover documentation, ensuring a smooth handover to Operations Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written. Coordinate activities with other departments and staff. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct supervision and other departments. Proficient with BSEE, ABS and USCG Regulations for Offshore Deepwater Facilities. Other duties may be assigned or requested. People:In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, manages succession planning for direct reports. Provides coaching and mentoring for direct reports.Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and business plans.Support the development and retention of motivated and qualified people.Ensures support and set performance expectations of direct reports. Process Ownership:Continuous promotion of, and adherence to, the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement.Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework.Monitor compliance with qualified standards.Participate in incident investigations as required.Subject Matter Expertise:Responsible in own discipline to provide support to the business.Ensuring learning opportunities are captured and realized.Responsible in knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.Perform the role of Technical Authority when appointed to do so.Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports / respective team.Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities.Manage and direct resources efficiently and effectively.Demonstrate current knowledge with industry and technology development within discipline.Demonstrate continual professional development

It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. Education and Experience: Proven background, typically 15 years minimum in Onshore and offshore Oil & Gas Completion and Commissioning activities in a Lead Technician or Engineer’s role, preferably with Gas Process Facilities.  Proven Supervisory experience in a Commissioning role in Instrument, Fire and Gas (F&G) and Electrical.  Proficient written and oral English language communication skills. Key Technical SkillsIn-depth understanding of pre-commissioning procedures such as hydrotesting, air blowing, chemical cleaning, system leak testing, and preservation.Familiarity with international standards (API, ASME, IEC) and project documentation like P&IDs, loop diagrams, and test packs.Proficiency in progress monitoring, punch list coordination, and readiness checklists.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Higher National Certificate (or equivalent) in a primary Engineering discipline. Soft Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and coordination abilities in a multi-discipline, multicultural site environment.Excellent communication and reporting skills, especially for interfacing with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.Safety-conscious and highly detail-oriented under field conditions.Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbalFlexibility to work in remote or challenging site environments and adjust to project timelinesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Employee must be able to see and read reports. Employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hand and fingers, reach with hands and arms. Employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.  Field Employees must be able to pass an audiometric test. Employee must be able to safely traverse stairs. Employee must be able to pass pa medical “Fit for Duty” physical and drug screen. Offshore employees must be able to pass ADNOC HSE Training.  WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in this environment is usually moderate, occasionally loud (86 dcl).  Employee must wear hearing protection when necessary. The employee may occasionally be exposed to confined spaces, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock or mechanical hazards.
