MANUFACTURING ENGINEER VISION UPPSALA

We are looking for adriven Manufacturing Engineerto lead process and equipment improvement initiatives. You will join a positive and collaborative Engineering team of 8 engineers from different backgrounds. The team supports the site with both short- and long-term technical solutions for components, products and processes. Over the coming years, the Uppsala site is undergoing a major technical transformation, replacing end-of-life (EOL) technology and equipment with new. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead technical and process improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, problem solving, process mapping and data analysis to secure the quality, delivery and cost targets of the site.
• Develop and optimise new and existing manufacturing processes using Lean principles and process excellence tools.
• Develop and execute Test Plans and Process Validation activities including Computerized System Validations (CSV).
• Take on project leadership responsibilities for full or partial ownership of small to medium-sized projects including, planning, scheduling, cost control and project budget management.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams both local and global levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Level: BSc or MSc. in Material Science, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Required:

• 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering role within a regulated industry preferably within the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience performing data analysis, creating technical documentation and presenting results
• Experience conducting investigations and root cause failure analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Excellent analytical capabilities with a drive to challenge the status quo; eager to learn; puts the team first; and remains robust and passionate in delivering on objectives; views failure as learning experience; excellent communicator with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrates a desire to continually learn, grow, excel and develop new ideas.
• High level of self-motivation and the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent in English and Swedish (write, read and speak).

Preferred (Merit):

Candidates with any of the following experience will be considered favorably:

• Certification in Six sigma or Lean Manufacturing, or currently working towards certification.
• Experience in the formulation or processing of high-viscosity materials.
• Experience in filling and sealing glass cartridges, including handling of viscous formulations, piston insertion, and crimping.
• Familiarity with medical device packaging processes (e.g., thermoformed PETG trays with Tyvek lids)
