You will shape our firmware and systems roadmap – mentoring engineers, championing process improvements and driving new product development excellence. You’ll collaborate with Electrical Hardware, Mechanical, and Software teams to turn bold concepts into reliable products that delight customers and fuel our growth. You’ll own low-power IoT firmware on ARM Cortex-M MCUs with BLE connectivity and RTOS, sensor integration, and secure OTA pipelines for battery-powered, BLDC motor tools. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Offer architectural mentorship –reviewing embedded software designs (RTOS, BSP, motor-control loops), unblocking teams, and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery

• Mitigate technical risks and drive next-gen features—establishing field-failure feedback loops, guiding BLDC control and BLE architectures, and exploring sensor-fusion/edge-AI opportunities

• Hire, retain, and develop top talent through mentoring and clear career-path guidance

• Partner with the Director/VP to shape strategy and prioritize high-impact work

• Forecast resource needs, allocate engineering capacity across concurrent projects, and continuously rebalance to meet evolving business and technical demands

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including AI tools, to accelerate development speed and quality

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or systems engineering

• 7+ years of progressively responsible embedded-systems engineering experience, including ≥ 1-year leading others

• Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Leadership of embedded-systems engineering teams

• Expertise in C/C++ and RTOS architectures

• Experience with BSP/driver development, hardware-software integration, and reliability-by-design

• Proficiency in failure-analysis and collaborating on hardware trade-offs

• Familiarity with functional-safety and EMC compliance frameworks, including IEC 60730, IEC 61508, BLE EMC testing, and the EU Cybersecurity Act

• MS, MBA, or other professional development

• Experience evaluating and integrating AI/automation frameworks to boost productivity

• Demonstrated thought-leadership: internal tech talks, open-source contributions, or industry speaking engagements

• Expertise in embedded DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, automated unit-testing), Agile delivery frameworks
