Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:Executing assigned scopes of workSupporting and supervising task delegation to teamProviding discipline expertise to the businessParticipating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when requiredProviding sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the disciplineCo-ordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-upProviding technical support to site as requiredProducing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems
Qualifications
Degree qualification in an engineering discipline is essentialExperience of working on FEED and Detailed Design & Engineering project phasesDemonstrable balance of industrial experience at a relevant level and positionMinimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industryPrevious experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance would be an advantageExperience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferredPrevious experience of working in the Caspian Region would be an advantageExperience of onshore processing facilities, pipelines and fire-fighting scopes would be an advantage
