The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Technical Safety Engineer with a proven track record in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducts risk assessments and developing safety strategies for industrial projects for a high-profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:
Identifying potential risks through HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA studies.
Developing safety philosophies, safety distances, and technical safety reports.
Ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards like OSHA, NFPA, IEC, and API.
Conducting audits to verify adherence to safety protocols.
Designing fire protection systems and safety equipment layouts.
Coordinating with engineering teams to integrate safety measures into project designs
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Discipline engineer in one or more integrated in-house /contractor teams handling multiple project responsibilitiesExecute technical work for FEED and Detailed Designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) within designated CTR scopesMaintain excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.Implement, practice and Monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirementsCarry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design workContribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that compliment designs, construction methods and operating methodsRemain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction, commissioning and start-upCreate demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factorsCapture/apply internal and external learning’s and incorporate improvementsDeliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industryTime write correctly each weekEnsure own discipline engineering and design work are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conductedEnsure quality of technical work and the technical integrity, functionality, constructability, safe operation and reliability of designsInvolved in multiple engineering reviews and provide sound design inputsContribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycleMaintain effective interfaces and relationships within/between disciplines, and peers in other EP Projects teams and AssetsEmphasize on Development of young TSE engineersProvide guidance and advice on Technical Safety matters in a consistent manner in line with that agreed within the team

Expected:Minimum 15 years’ experience and 6 years in EPCM/ EPC experienceBachelors in engineering degree or equivalentExperience in the middle east is preferredBe a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contributionBe able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilitiesAssuring that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conductedEstablishing and maintaining engineering processes, systems and tools (software)
