The Lead Systems Engineer will be a key member of the Fleet Systems Engineering team and be responsible for interfacing with multiple Engineering disciplines, Business Managers, Project Managers, and customers. In this role you will be accountable for meeting functional, business, and broad company objectives in support of customers with operating BWR plants. The Lead Systems Engineer will be challenged with complex technical issues in a dynamic project environment.

• Lead and conductcalculations,design analyses, evaluations, andverificationsfor various BWRsafety and non-safetysystem functions
• Apply engineeringknowledgeand practical experiencetothe analysis,investigation, and solutionof complex design problemsand applicationissues
• Develop drawings and specificationsto assureproducts canreliablymeetall engineering and qualityrequirements
• Professionallyrespondto customerinformationrequests,emergent plantissues, and audits
• Work proactivelywith existingBWR productline and quality personnelthrough processprocedure approvals, process qualification approvals, andnon-conformingmaterial disposition
• Reviewproposalsand evaluateorderswith emphasis on knowledgeofBWR system design bases, operations, andmaintenance
• Supportinitiativesfor new orimprovedplantcomponents and system-levelanalyses
• SupportGVHqualityrequirements definedin policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineeringorrelatedareafrom an accredited collegeor university
• Minimum of 5 yearsofexperience workingwithNuclearPlant Safety Systems and Components
• Minimum of 5 yearsof experienceworkingwithmulti-disciplined Engineering orOperationsteams onBWRNuclear Power PlantSystems

DesiredCharacteristics

• In-depth knowledge ofBWR reactormajor NSSS systems(such as CRD, Recirculation, ECCS, RWCU, SLC, Main Steam – MSIVs and SRVs, HPCI, RCIC, HPCS)andtheir operation
• Familiar of setpoint calculation standards and regulations such as: ISA 67.04.01 and RG 1.105
• Proventechnical skills within projectmanagement environment
• Proven oral /written communication andteamworkskills
• CommercialNuclear Power Plant Systemsexperience, Professional Engineering License, orAdvancedDegreefrom an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated abilitytoperformwhilechallenged bymultiple demandsand changingpriorities
• Stronginterpersonalandleadership skills
• Excellentoral andwritten communicationskills,including customerinterfaceexperience

Eligibility Requirements:

• The preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.
• Less than 10% travel is required; however, if remote then selected candidate must be comfortable to travel to Wilmington, NC on a quarterly basis.

The base pay range for this position is $86,000 to $122,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Thursday, August 21st

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
