Data Engineer II

As a Data Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing data engineering solutions within our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Your technical expertise in data engineering and proficiency in programming languages will be instrumental in optimizingdata pipelines and ETL processesfor scalability and performance.

You will work out of our Mexico City location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative data solutions that drive operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making. Your work will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data, as well as improving the overall performance of our data engineering processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Lead the design, development, and implementation ofdata engineeringsolutions

·Architect and optimize data pipelines andETL processesfor scalability and performance

·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions

·Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in data engineering

·Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers

YOU MUST HAVE

·BS or MS (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another related field

·Experience in supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

·Experience performing root cause analysis, and debugging data pipeline runtime issues

·BS w/ 4+ (MS w/ 2+) years of experience in a data engineering role:

·Experience withcloud services, preferably Azure

·Experience with managing and optimizing automated scalable data pipelines

·Experience withbig data tools: Spark, Hadoop, etc.

·Experience with relationalSQL, NoSQL databases

·Experience with managing andoptimizing IaaS:
VMs, HDD/ SSDs,networking, and storage accounts

·Experience withLinux scriptingin bash, tcsh,etc.

·Experience with managingcloud security

·Experience with implementing and followingversion control

and Advanced communication skills (English)
