ABOUT THE POSITION

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Technical Excellence & Risk Management

• Provides discipline engineering (DE) support to other teams by performing and reviewing complex, or non-routine engineering calculations and analyses (i.e. Projects, Integrity Management, Maintenance, Reliability).
• Provides DE technical support to MoCs and Projects including but not limited to support activities, regulatory compliance, deviations from technical specifications, design reviews, procurement support for complex packages, life cycle operability, feasibility studies, functional specifications, Basis of Design, sourcing technical evaluation.
• Provides DE support to hazard identification and risk assessment processes including but not limited to MoCs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, HAZIDs, Human Factors Analysis, What-Ifs, Vulnerability studies, Bowties and Risk Action Plans, and deferrals.
• Provides DE support in performing incident investigations and defect investigations.
• Review barrier health assessment and any required barrier improvement actions
• Participates in the resolution of complex, multi-discipline technical issues or actions where the dominant component is engineering. Relevant sources of action include HAZOP/LOPA, Incident Learning, Safety Bulletins, Process Safety, Audit findings, Risk Actions, MoC, Vulnerabilities and engineering studies.
• Participate to digitalization initiatives by defining the operational needs for the discipline and actively contribute for the design, development and implementation of the digital solution.
• Provide inputs for TAR SOW definition.
• Provides discipline technical support for Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Contribute to the engineering of obsolescence resolution.
• Contribute for operability and maintainability gap register.
• Supports Team Lead on key discipline meetings such as alarm management and process safety.

Equipment Strategy

• Participates to inspection, testing, maintenance and condition monitoring tasks in CMMS and Operator Workbench are aligned with the technical intent of Equipment Strategies.
• Supports the updates of the technical content of Equipment Strategies based on equipment performance feedback and performs periodic review of CMMS and Operator Workbench effectiveness (Relevant equipment performance feedback includes inspection, testing and maintenance data, KPIs, condition monitoring data, sparing strategy, equipment MoC and findings from defect investigations).
• Follows reliability analysis for discipline related equipment using surveillance, maintenance and condition monitoring data, and trends performance metrics.
• Create critical equipment digital twins for early detection of operating performance deviations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical or relevant.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar discipline role.
• Working experience onYokogawa andEmersoncontrol systems, Functional Safety and Cyber Security for OT Systems.
• Certifications for the above are a plus
• Literate for discipline related standards
• Experience and technical understanding of engineering, maintenance, and operation of equipment in oil & gas processing facilities.
• Knowledge of governing codes, industry standards and local regulations relevant to the discipline engineering, and proven ability in practical application of engineering standards and practices.
• Operations Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry or similar
• A proven record of accomplishment in risk management, process safety management and contractor performance management
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in the field and office;
• Proven record of accomplishment in delivering results under pressure.
