Our client is looking for a driven Control Engineer to join a dynamic, growing manufacturing team based in Hanover, PA. In this role, you’ll be designing and launching control systems that power custom industrial machines used around the world—in industries ranging from rail and mining to automotive and aerospace.
This is a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and creativity will have a direct impact on client outcomes and company success.
What You’ll Do:
• Design control systems based on client specifications and internal machine concepts
• Select and size components in line with NEC, UL, NFPA, and international standards (CE, CSA, etc.)
• Create layout drawings and electrical schematics using SolidWorks
• Finalize Bill of Materials and coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing
• Assist with machine installation and startup within the factory
• Program PLCs and HMIs using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text (Mitsubishi-based systems)
• Set up and fine-tune servo motor drives for coordinated motion
• Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support to clients and field service technicians
• Collaborate closely with mechanical design and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Maintain clear project documentation and timelines
• Explore and implement emerging technologies that can enhance products and processes
What You Bring:
• Proven success in designing and installing industrial control systems
• Solid understanding of control circuits, wiring practices, and global electrical standards
• Proficiency in PLC programming (additional experience with PCs or alternate control systems is a plus)
• Familiarity with SolidWorks
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Project management experience (3–5 years preferred)
• Willingness to travel for client site visits and installation support
• A degree is beneficial but not required—your skills and experience speak volumes
