Schneider Electric is searching foraProject Engineerspecializing in Building AutomationSystem (BAS)to make an impact within our organization.

This position will sit within our Digital Buildings organization based in Dallas.In this roleyouwillbe responsibleforproject coordination, safety, software checkout, commissioning, and software troubleshooting.Additionally,youwillensurethat daily activities on site for projects are completed.

As aBASProjectEngineer, a typical day for you might include:

• Ensuringall design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior toinstallation.
• Modifyingand updatingdesign drawings andmaintainingred line documents.
• Collaboratingwith project manager and procurement personnel onpurchasingactivity and monitoringbudget risks.
• Ensuringmaterials are being delivered to site or subcontractors for installation.
• Validatinghardware and project installation meet designrequirements.
• Diagnosingcommunication problems,troubleshooting,and trackingsoftware and hardware issues.
• Participatingin field quality control or safety audits and reviewinganalysis and results.
• Coordinatingwith on-site contractors for the installation of equipment based on shopdrawings.
• Actingas primary point of contact for subcontractors during installation phase.
• Coordinatingand addressingissues during installation phase independently.
• Collaboratingwith the Project Manager to coordinate projects through the installation phaseand provide feedback formanpowerrequirements.
• Contributingto acompleteoperationto service turnoverprocess.

• Responsibilityfor overall system functionality/performance.
• Setupofoutside ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites

And on some days, youmay:

• Re-commissioningdevices, equipment, and software asrequired.
• Assist the PM in material procurement.
• Ensureinstallation tracking sheets are updatedregularly.
• Prepare customer-training manuals and provide customizedtraining.

This may be the next step in your career journey if you have:

• 4+years’ experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge,
• Demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades.
• Experience with HVAC and security installations.
• Proficiencyin all types of building systems and application of our technology.
• Proven experiencecoordinatingproject team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers.
