Jobbeschreibung:

We have an opening for an Application Engineer, a high performing problem solver who demonstrates initiative and works effectively with other internal functions andstakeholders. Thesuccessful applicant will assess the technical specifications required by the customer, and will work a cross-functional team of Project Management, Sales and Engineering to find a configured solution using our products and technologies, to support the preparation of highly technical quotes for customer review.

Essential Functions:

• Assess and execute a configurable solution and provide technical options to assure customers that their needs can be met.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to customers, intercompany departments and the External Sales team Members regarding detailed proposals and contracts, machine capabilities, and equipment checkout and testing.
• Act as liaison between the Sales department, Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
• Create, review, and approve equipment proposals and contracts.
• Create floor plan layouts and concept drawings for proposed equipment.
• Perform accurate cost analyses for the purpose of determining equipment pricing.
• Organize contract review meetings and project scheduling meetings.
• Work toward improving methodology, standards, and efficiency within the Applications department.
• Travel to customer sites, sister company facilities, and trade shows as required.
• Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documents.
• Provide technical support and training tools for the sales team members and other functions upon request.
• Perform risk analysis for proposals in cooperation with the engineering departments.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to appropriate product manager regarding expected changes in market requirements for our products and solutions.
• Work with project managers to keep the technical cost sheets and offer wording templates accurate and up to date.
• Enter, process and facilitate technical information in the ERP system to help the inside sales team to create proposals and orders.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have an eye for detail. You are curious and have a proactive approach with a high level of personal ownership and be experience in documentation standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science-related fields and 3 years experience in OEM capital equipment or packaging machinery OR 2 Year Post High School degree and 5 years experience in OEM capital equipment or packaging machinery
• At least 2 years as an applications engineer or a similar technical role
• Proficient in CAD systems including solid modeling
• Practical design experience in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical control systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Proficiency in CRM software
• Demonstrated technical writing capabilities
• Effective verbal communication skills

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge of bag converting and manufacturing capital equipment
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Fluency in English, German and any additional languages.
