Join Our Team as Application Engineer in Gävle, Sweden

Are you a passionate problem solver with a strong interest in technology and software? We are currently seeking a talented technician to join our team as a commissioning technician in Gävle, Sweden. What will you do?

In the role of application engineer, you will lead the technical aspects of exciting customer projects and ensure successful delivery within budget and timeframe. Your work will mostly take place on-site at customer data center environments, where you will understand their technical requirements through close collaboration and provide innovative solutions.

You will work with Schneider’s software, installing and configuring it on customer equipment. You will ensure communication is functioning, program software for switches and servers, and ensure measurement values are accurate. Your work may involve handling switchgear, measuring instruments and data collection, circuit breaker protection, relay protection, backup power, networks, and UPS, where you will receive additional tasks as you develop. Through close collaboration with sales, engineering, and project management, you will ensure projects are smoothly executed according to customer requirements and preferences.

You will be provided with comprehensive onboarding, where you will learn step-by-step alongside your colleagues to eventually drive your work forward independently with:

• Lead the technical aspects of customer projects

• Work on-site at customer data center environments

• Installations and configurations on customer equipment

• Handling switchgear, measuring instruments and data collection, circuit breaker protection, relay protection, backup power, networks, and UPS

• Understand customer needs to provide innovative solutions

What will make you successful?

• Relevant technical education in fields such as electrical engineering, automation, or IT

• Preferably, work experience in a relevant field

• Proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English

• Knowledge of Modbus, IEC61850, and Citect is a plus
• Genuine interest in software and technology
