Advanced Mech Design Engineer

Position Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on creating and enabling value on complex and futuristics aerospace products using core mechanical engineering skills.

JOB EXPECTATION:

• ·Experience onValue Engineering/ Component Engg projectsforMechanical systems/ sub-systems.
• ·Must have experience inEngineering change Request and Engineering change orderimplementation using aPLM tool like Teamcenter
• ·Candidate is expected to have good knowledge inmechanical designwith the ability to use this knowledge on VE/ CE ideation inmechanical component/ packaging design, preferably in,Valve components, Heat Exchangers, air conditioners, refrigeration units – for Air and thermal Systemsor similar product lines.
• ·Goodglobal cross functional and possible project engineering skillsto coordinate and work with Regulatory, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality along with other cross functional teams.
• ·Knowledge ofNPI/ Product Development Life Cycle–Material selection,Component/ Assembly Drawings,Manufacturing and Assembly Processes(Basic and Advanced)
• ·Handle product re-engineering projects enabling value to the product, understand Marketing requirements and work with project team on product specifications
• ·Product Design skills with Problem solving and analytical capability
• ·Experience on Six Sigma methodology & Statistical Analysis:GD & T,Tolerance Analysis,DFMA(Design for Manufacturing and Assembly)
• ·Good Knowledge in Drafting Standards especially ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.5
• ·Have good understanding on differentmanufacturing processeslikeplastic injection molding,metal parts machining,casting,sheet metal process,joining methodologies (crimping, welding, brazing, soldering)andencapsulation methodologiesand basic tool design exposure is essential.
• ·Good knowledge onMaterial selection(Engineering Plastics, Rubber & Metals) and mechanical hardware selection such as Screws, gaskets, O rings and other sealing elements
• Expertise in3D ModelingandParametric Detailingin, preferably,NX/ nTopologyor any other

YOU MUST HAVE:

B.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE: 6-10years in development, value engineering of complex mechanical products

•Knowledge onRTCA/ DO-160 regulatory requirements

•Excellent coordinating and interacting skills, particularly, with cross functional teams spread globally

•Excellent problem analysis, judgment and technical decision-making skills

•Excellent implementation skills like Planning, Estimation, Execution and Quality check
