Yokogawa is hiring a Project Engineer to join a young team of Process Automation Specialists.

Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, your role as a Project Engineer will be to provide first-class support whilst being the technical focal point from handover by sales to project closing. You will design industrial automation projects compliant with agreed contract and technical objectives, within schedule deadlines and budget, ensuring quality, safe installation and operation as well as performance to agreed requirements.

The Project Engineer is Yokogawa’s overall technical focal point for customer, end user, suppliers, Yokogawa management and project team and is in charge of the technical project from contract hand-over by sales to project closing and hand-over to the Service organization

As a Project Engineer your tasks will include:

• DCS software configuration generated from the client’s design documentation, such as user requirement specifications or control philosophies
• Alarm rationalization
• Continuous Process control and Batch process software programming
• Functional Safety SIL classifications and SIF calculations
• To supervise or implement the detailed design by producing function block programming (using engineering software tools) to implement the Safety system SIFs for the logic solver. This includes all shutdown logic as per the cause and effects, hardware interface, and graphic screen interface
• Modifying existing safety systems with an impact analysis
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, whilst an effective team player as part of a structured team
• Conducting internal testing, executing or leading the Factory Acceptance Test
• Taking responsibility for the transition to site and managing site installation
• Conducting Site Acceptance Test and ensuring system is handed over efficiently, completing all necessary documents and formalizing project closures

Confident communicator with a professional manner, and the ability to absorb and impart factual information to others and work within standard operating procedures
A positive self-starter with the drive to achieve results in a friendly manner, but at the same time maintain quality and standards
Compliance with Yokogawa procedures
As our ideal candidate you have:

Bachelor level in engineering and/or process automation technology with more than 5 years of project and site experience as a leading engineer of control systems
Experience in technically leading and implementing medium-complex projects with low to medium risks.
Excellent technical comprehension, and both verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized ability to autonomously complete a high volume of tasks and projects with tight guidelines.
Available for frequent travel in Italy
Proficiency with MS Office tools
Italian native speaker demonstrating good English fluency in speaking and in writing.
Networking, Digital Solutions, IT/OT and Cloud based solution knowledge is a plus.
