PURPOSE
• As Oil Production System Lead, you will be accountable for the statregy and sytem stewardship to ensure the optimal performance, safety, and sustainability of the Oil Production system within a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit. This includes leading efforts and system engineers to maintain Oil Production system surveillance associated system health and perfromance, champion value-driven opportunities, develop company planning budgets in alignment with the asset leadership team. The role involves close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to align lifecycle objectives and drive continuous system improvements. Additionally, the role serves as the focal point for coordination with external stakeholders, including technology providers, supply chain partners, and fleet management, to enhance system design, sustainability, and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• You serve as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, aligning on strategies, KPIs, and vulnerabilities.
• You drive continuous improvement in system design and operations to enhance safety, sustainability, and profitability. Partnering with the System Engineer, you ensure accurate KPI monitoring, identify risks, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• You lead technical responses to incidents, coordinating with engineers and maintenance teams for swift, minimal-impact resolutions. You also work with these teams to develop and refine maintenance plans, addressing deferred tasks and associated risks.
• You contribute to the Smart Operation Production Hub by integrating monitoring and predictive technologies for enhanced efficiency.
• You support Asset Surveillance & Intelligence Engineers in validating abnormal behaviors, defining corrective actions, and ensuring timely implementation.
• You are accountable for the capitals spares, crash plan, crash kit and obsolescence strategy for your system, consulting with the discipline engineers and maintenance and execution to ensure alignment of the strategy and overall governance, driving closure of any gaps and implementation of recommended improvements.
• You champion investigation into system performance and reliability, to understand bad actors in your system and strategies to mitigate and improve system performance.
• You evaluate recommendations for new technologies and pilot projects (recommended from within the BU or Fleet support) to understand the business value overall benefit to the system and the operating asset.
• You assist in system audits to ensure compliance with GEMS, Host Government Regulatory, Class Society, and external benchmarking (including HAZOP revalidation, regulatory reporting, operations benchmarking, etc.).
• You are responsible for validating unplanned downtime events and associated volume loss working with discipline engineers, operations and production engineering (Daily reports, etc.).
EDUCATION
• BSc or MSc in Process Engineer or other related area;
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 12 years in Oil and Gas Industry
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Operation and in relation with the system you will lead.
• Field Experience is required
• FPSO experience is required
• Shore base support experience is required
