Field Service Engineer – Excitation Systems

Position Mission:

ABB is looking for aField Service Engineerto join thePAEN (Process Automation Energy Industries)division, with a focus on theOil & Gassector. If you have field service experience, strive for excellence in customer service, and want to directly contribute to the efficiency and safety of critical operations, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Perform field service activities onexcitation systems, including commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose technical failures in excitation systems on-site or remotely, and propose effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Engage with customers to identify operational improvements, system optimizations, and new service opportunities related to excitation systems.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and ensure proper documentation of all service activities, with customer validation.
• Act as a technical reference in excitation systems, supporting team members and delivering training sessions when needed.

Requirements:

• Experience in service activities involvingexcitation systems(mandatory).
• Availability for frequent travel.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks, such as Fieldbus, Modbus, and Profibus.
• Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience withDCS systems, such as ABB 800xA.
• Knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector and experience in offshore environments.
• Intermediate English (preferred) for technical reading and communication.
