Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join its Operations business focusing in Oil & Gas for small facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of the Bayport Site capital projects group. This opportunity is onsite in Deerpark, TX, United States.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing small facility-based projects within an active chemical manufacturing plant, supporting the Bayport Site capital projects group. You will lead the development and execution of project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills to deliver successful outcomes across engineering, construction, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilitiesManage small facility-based capital projects from concept through closeout within an active chemical manufacturing plantDevelop and document project execution plans scaled to project size and complexityDefine and secure required resources, ensuring efficient execution and application of sound engineering practicesGuide project teams to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectivesTrack and manage scope changes, ensuring client authorization and documentationMonitor project performance and maintain accurate reporting on progress, milestones, and deliverablesLead regular project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholdersCollaborate with onsite and external contractors to ensure successful project deliveryEnsure quality of deliverables and manage project closeout activities

It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.Expected:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering5+ years of industry-related experience (Project Management experience preferred)Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices including cost control, estimating, scheduling, and forecastingStrong understanding of chemical or related manufacturing facilities and how to integrate project work within themFamiliarity with gated work processes for project managementWorking knowledge of procurement processesKnowledge of ASME, API, AISC, PIP, ASCE, RAGAGEPs, and other pertinent engineering standardsDesirable:Strong working knowledge of SAP Project Systems Module
