We have an opportunity for anAdvanced Systems Engineer – Innovative Avionicstojoin our Honeywell team in Brno. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance through the definition, design, development, integration, test and certification phases of avionics programs, allowing you to develop your technical skills and grow in an exciting industry niche. You will manage the coordination of technical activity between Aircraft and Functional Systems Teams, program ASL/LSE, PE/SPE, adjacent product COEs and the OEM customer.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key responsibilities:
System Definition, Design, and Development
• Support lead technical roles with technical content as needed for aircraft specific development and coordinate with Aircraft Systems engineers to ensure design variability and proper configuration while communicating with the OEM. Support lead technical engineers in developing aircraft specifications for the OEM.
• Ensure aircraft specific requirements documentation is developed in accordance with internal process and OEM requirements. Support internal change control board activity, report issues and subsequent software corrections in coordination with the project engineers.
Software/Product Integration, Test, and Delivery
• Coordinate with the lead engineers, project engineers, Functional and Aircraft Systems engineers to ensure work meets scope, schedule, and quality. Manage customer and on-site engineers interactions to resolve test issues resulting from OEM testing, including coordination with functional owners and COEs for fixes; work with lead engineers and project engineers regarding customer technical communications; and support lead engineers/project engineers meetings with OEM on technical plan timelines.
• Provide systems integration bench testing guidance and support bench upgrades and maintenance, proper systems integration bench usage and availability for multiple programs and tasks. Support HW and SW deliveries to the OEM.

• Mentorship – Develop and mentor team members.
Key requirements:
• University degree in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
• 3 years of experience in Aerospace (Avionics Systems) expected.
• Knowledge of Integrated avionics systems (Epic, Apex) and industry standards (DO178, ARP 4754, etc.).
• Ability to conceptualize, define, design, plan, develop, and implement new technologies, applications, and/or products.
• Knowledge of software product life cycle processes, and product or aviation system certification requirements.
