You will be a focal point for customer technical support, including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. You will advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer happiness!
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Providing recommendations to the customer on product or solutions, improvements, and system health checks
• Performing and leading service projects and taking ownership of customer coordination
• Providing resolution of major technical issues and resolving customer disruptions
• Performing on-site services such as modification works (eMOCs), fixing, support emergency on-call, site evaluation services, and basic to guide cybersecurity assessment
• Managing a team of service engineers as required and leading assigned installed-base maintenance executions
• Recognizing and accepting HSE roles & responsibilities as defined in Emerson’s company policy and procedures
• Ensuring the completion of assigned technical training and safety training for personal development on a priority basis to secure professional to guide certifications
• Staying updated with the latest updates, KBAs, and new features in DeltaV control system and cybersecurity products
• Collaborating with Emerson GSC and product engineering to provide technical expertise for products and support customers in diagnostics and solving difficult technical issues.
• Proactively identifying service/product opportunities and serving as sales ambassador on site, communicating sales leads to the sales team
• Performing and leading projects, taking ownership of lead client support activities such as site survey, feed study, site installation, start-up and commissioning services, and customer training
• Developing various design documentation including system architecture, functional design specifications, software design specifications, and method statements, in accordance with project requirements
• Aligning with all Emerson requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports, method statements, job safety analysis, incident reporting, and all other documentation in line with Emerson’s internal procedures

For This Role, You Will Need:
• Engineering education (including control engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation, or electronics, electrical, etc.) from an accredited university or college
• Validated experience in crafting and implementing control systems installation with Emerson’s DeltaV system or equivalent experience
• Knowledgeable in programming languages is a plus (Visual Basic, C++, Java, etc.)
• Willingness to travel 25-40% (International)
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
• Proven track record in DeltaV DCS / SIS installation and DeltaV cybersecurity implementation both onshore/offshore O&G
• In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, with validated years of hands-on experience in Emerson-related products
• Experience in cybersecurity implementation in industrial control systems (McAfee AV, Whitelisting, SIEM/NSM)
• Knowledgeable in information and operational technology (IT/OT) with certified networking skills (switches/routers), firewalls, and wireless technology
• Holds T-BOSIET or HUET certificate and/or must be able to pass the offshore training and offshore medical requirements
• Enrolled on the register of engineers in the State of Qatar or chartered engineer
