Postion Summary
Bechtel’s Information Systems & Technology organization is seeking strong delivery focused technical expert in Microsoft 365 and Platform technologies. This position will work directly with specialized Microsoft 365 and Platform. Technology groups and will be responsible for liaising with business owners, project managers, design teams, operations teams, and partners/ suppliers to ensure successful and timely delivery of new or changed services.
The candidate will also be required to draft a plan of delivery, manage delivery objectives, project manage major initiatives and ensure training and any other non-functional requirements are defined and delivered.
Willing to work on flexible shifts, to meet business objectives. Shift timings are subject to change as per job requirement.
Position Skills:
• Microsoft 365 Cloud services – Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 Apps suites
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting exchange mail flow and SMTP gateways (Mimecast) and other user mailbox, shared mailbox configuration and support.
• Microsoft 365 migration scenarios including Hybrid configuration, IMAP/Cutover/Staged migrations
• Active Directory Synchronization tool (AADConnect), Azure AD, managing SharePoint sites, OneDrive through admin portals and have worked on issues related to ODFB/SPO sync client.
• MS Teams issues related to one-on-one chat and team in MS Teams
• MS Teams SBC configuration and routing
• SharePoint Administration, working with SharePoint developers including design, development and architecture.
• Understanding of power platform, architecture, licensing and support models
• Understanding of data protection, DLP, Cloud Security concepts
• Understanding of modern device management and application virtualization concepts.
• Understanding of networking and routing concepts, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with Public Key infrastructure (PKI), digital signature and electronic signatures
• Experience working with Public Cloud platforms, (Azure) preferably with a focus on PaaS services.
• Understanding of modern application architecture, onboarding PaaS services, DevSecOps.
• Understanding of Microsoft authentication, authorization, and modern applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work directly with subject matter experts of Microsoft technologies including Exchange, SharePoint, Web-Services, Identity & Access Management, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, MECM and more.
• Creating technology roadmaps working with vendors like Microsoft, Citrix and others.
• Creating training and development plans for teams and tracking progress.
• Maintaining service levels and providing technical guidance where required.
• Project manage all major IT infrastructure projects and goals.
• Documentation, drafting communication and working with the communications team to make sure all communications from the team is as per standard.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field and at least thirteen years of IT experience
• Over 10 years of industry experience in various technologies and project management working with large and geographically diverse organizations.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with M365 technologies
• Over 2 years of experience with Endpoint management and application delivery using Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Intune.
• Over 2 years of experience with Azure and other SaaS and Cloud Computing methodologies.
• Good understanding of Identity management systems, endpoint & information security concepts.
• Experience designing and managing PaaS and IaaS in Azure and/or AWS, with an emphasis on migration and transformation of on-premises applications to Azure PaaS.
Position Knowledge and Abilities:
• Excellent communication skills, including experience in writing and presentation skills, as well as reviewing technical documentation
• Broad understanding of the technology stack including security, network and server infrastructure & protocols and associated application technologies including database, web and analytics elements
• Experience managing infrastructure in a mid-large sized company or multi-location company, preferred
