We have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. You will become part of an organization developing innovative flight recorders technology (also known as Black Boxes).
You will have an opportunity to guide and oversee airborne system development, allowing you to specialize in an exciting niche within the aerospace engineering field and build up unique subject domain expertise (flight recorders – cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders), which in past helped to shape and improve safety of air traffic.
In this position you will be given an opportunity to grow your technical skills, interact with multiple different stakeholders (engineering, business teams, suppliers, customers, and other partners). In addition to daily technical tasks, you will be encouraged to think out of the box and come up with new ideas and or approaches how to grow our recorders business.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Communicate with external customers (airlines) on daily basis, deliver Recorders services (transcription, inspection) and translate customer requirements into system specifications.
• Develop and own the recorders data maps for different aircraft platforms (single isle as well as wide body). System requirements development, Requirements verification, Process Assurance
• Participate on service offerings, prepare proposals.
• Work with development team to implement new features in our Recorders Services offering.
• Ensure compliance with applicable processes, manage reporting (metrics), process improvement and updating documentations. Participate in defining long term strategies and products roadmap. Supporting various activities impacting flight recorders – EUROCAE ED-112A working groups, ARINC sessions
Key skills and qualifications
• Degree in Electrical, Software and/or Aerospace engineering.
• Experience with ARINC429, ARINC717, ARINC767 or similar
• Work experience in the aerospace, automotive or similar industry with focus on systems design real time system & software coding, scripting
• Strong communication skillset (to be used when talking to external customers). Independent and fast learner, strong team player with a proactive mindset.
• Very good level of English language (B2 as a minimum).
