System Engineer I – Anthem Flight Controls | Brno
We are looking for aSystem Engineer I that would join our Next Generation Avionics – Honeywell Anthem team. You will be responsible for Flight Controls development and testing – especially in the areas of Automatic FCS – Flight Guidance, Autopilot, Maintenance or new AFCS Servo development but also you may take part in General Aviation product line development.
The final product will be serving to customers not only in Business, Regional but also Urban Air Mobility and General aviation segments. There is an opportunity for you to grow alongside the new product development and experienced team.
Working model: Hybrid 3x onsite, 2x remote.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Flight Controls Servo, Flight Guidance, Autopilot, Virtual Guidance Panel or Maintenance Systems design.
• Requirement analysis and decomposition and model based development.
• Systems integration, validation & verification.
• Flight Test support e.g., on local Bonanza test plane. Work with other systems/software engineers during developing and integrating solutions for Honeywell Anthem product as well as for Honeywell customers.
• Collaboration with domestic and international teams and customers including possible ground or flight test activities and actively support Internal and External Audits.
Experience and Education Required:
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering/Controls Systems/Aeronautical Studies.
Essential Professional Skills and Knowledge:
• Skilled in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of DO-178B/C is a plus.
• Knowledge of C or any scripting language (e.g., Python) is a plus.
Required Skills and Personal Characteristics:
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.
• Must meet any applicable Export License conditions – EU citizens only are eligible.
• Capability and willingness to travel abroad for trainings, business meetings and customer support.
