Join Natoli Engineering, a global leader in tablet press technology, as a Controls Engineer. In this role, you will commission new and rebuilt tablet presses and support our service team with advanced technical troubleshooting. You’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and smart devices.

Key Responsibilities
• Commission new and rebuilt tablet presses using modern control systems
• Program PLCs (Rockwell/Allen Bradley preferred; Studio 5000, CCW)
• Develop and configure HMIs (Aveva Indusoft, Allen Bradley FactoryTalk)
• Configure smart devices including VFDs, servo drives, and data acquisition systems
• Troubleshoot control systems remotely and support service teams as needed
• Assist with the creation of product manuals and technical documentation

Qualifications
• Experience with control systems, electrical systems, and PLC programming
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics
• Familiarity with programming formats: ladder logic, structured text, function block
• HMI development experience (Indusoft Web Studio, FactoryTalk, or similar)
• Working knowledge of Windows OS and basic Ethernet networking

Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 79, UL, and CE standards
• Experience with FDA compliance (21 CFR Part 11)
• Knowledge of high-speed data acquisition systems (e.g., HBM PMX)
• SQL database development and reporting
• Troubleshooting legacy hardware
• Experience with industrial safety systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
• Trade school graduates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
• Compensation based on experience and skill level
