The Purpose of the Role:
• Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Engineering Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and quality standards. Accurate planning and forecasting. Responsible for change management in projects.Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and manage workload distribution within the engineering team.
• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of Honeywell’s products, technologies, and industry trends to provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners, to gather requirements, address technical challenges, and drive alignment on project goals.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues and challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations for the engineering team, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide feedback to support career development and growth opportunities.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team, optimizing processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Honeywell’s policies and procedures.
• Budget Management: Collaborate with finance and project management teams to develop and manage project budgets, billing, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective delivery of engineering projects. Support to Sales/P&E on proposals and estimation.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Should have minimum 13+ years of hands-on experience in:
• DCS / Safety PLC / PLC (preferably on Honeywell Systems) – Design, Detail engineering, Testing and Commissioning
• Third party systems interface – Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC (UA, DA, HDA, A&E), ProfiNet, Profibus and similar.
• HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus
• Advanced L2/L3 nodes – Alarm, History, Asset, Network Management
• Networking Knowledge: TCP/IP protocols, Switch/Router and domain controller configurations.
• Virtualization of control nodes – added advantage
