Sr Software Eng Supervisor

The SR SW Supervisor has the following responsibilities for all projects with which he/she is associated:

· Negotiating and monitoring availability of resources.

· Building a work breakdown structure.

· Documenting plans and identifying key components.

· Selecting appropriate project methodology (software life cycle).

· Estimating cost and effort to completion.

· Managing risks – determining impact and handling.

· Monitoring development progress.

· Scheduling – creating a schedule and key milestones.

· Selecting project metrics.

· Selecting project management tools and processes.

· Tracking compliance with processes.

· Using metrics to track project progress.

· Upon completion, documenting performance against objectives, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Interaction with external customers may be required for some projects. Some travel possible (less than 5%).

• Minimum 5+ years professional experience in a commercial software product development environment, with at least five years in a matrix role as a software supervisor role required, and at least five years as a software developer or software quality engineer preferred.
• Advanced English.
• Developer Software .Net Invoice experience .
• Demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects required. Success in more than one organization a strong plus.
• Experience across a broad range of software project types, from embedded code through development tools to web-based enterprise applications, a strong plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of software project lifecycle methodologies required. Experience at the lower levels of the SEI CMM a plus. Experience with iterative product development models and Software Project Survival Guide techniques a plus.
