Role Purpose:

Lead commissioning activities for assigned offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases are executed in accordance with regulations, project procedures, and industry best practices.

Key Accountabilities:

• Represent as Commissioning Team Leader for all assigned offshore projects.
• Review and provide comments on EPIC Contractor Scope of Work (SOW) related to commissioning activities.
• Lead outsourced contractor commissioning engineering support services to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Report commissioning progress and issues to the Head of Commissioning for successful project completion.
• Develop, improve, and standardize commissioning procedures and deliverables.
• Prepare and obtain approval for commissioning strategies and plans in consultation with end users and contractors.
• Lead the Commissioning Team in developing and approving commissioning procedures for all systems and facilities.
• Coordinate manpower requirements and ensure the availability of commissioning resources from end users and contractors.
• Plan commissioning activities detailed down to system and subsystem levels and ensure implementation per approved schedules.
• Develop and approve commissioning handover checklists and certificates; work with contractors/vendors to resolve performance issues.
• Collaborate with Construction Teams, End Users, and Contractors to manage punch list activities and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate vendor site visits and on-job training to support commissioning of critical equipment and processes.
• Participate in safety design reviews, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and project closeout gates.
• Support multidisciplinary teams through commissioning documentation and deliverable reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Extensive commissioning experience in oil & gas projects, especially offshore.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with commissioning software such as ICAPS or similar.

Experience:

• 12 to 14 years of relevant experience in construction, installation, and commissioning within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven expertise in commissioning of Fire & Gas (F&G) Systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Instrument Control Systems (ICS), Power Management Systems, Instrument Air, and Wellhead Control Systems offshore.
• Multi-disciplinary engineering background with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in offshore project construction and installation activities preferred.
