Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software solutions that meet customer requirements. This role requires strong programming skills and a solid understanding of software development methodologies.

You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mexico City location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge software solutions that drive innovation and enhance the performance of our products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software applications

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

• Troubleshoot and debug software issues

• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards

• Collaborate with product owners to define software requirements and specifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in software development

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experienced with Cloud and SQL.

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies

• Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance processes

• Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/deployment pipelines
