Software Engineer I

As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell, in Brno, you will be responsible for coding in C and working on embedded systems. You will play a crucial role in the design and development of software solutions that power innovative products in various industries. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with 0-2 years of experience in software development.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Everyday 140,000 Honeywell air turbine starters bring to life commercial and military aircraft, industrial and marine equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions using C programming language
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
• Conduct unit testing and debugging of software to ensure high quality and reliability
• Work closely with hardware engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components
• Participate in code reviews to identify and address potential issues early in the development process

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in software development, preferably in embedded systems
• Proficiency in C programming language, Python is a plus
• Strong understanding of hardware and software integration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
