Senior Software Engineer (d/f/m)
located in Munich
to join our team. We’re looking for an experienced software engineer with strong C++ programming skills to help us continue developing our core libraries and support tooling. This individual will be responsible for design and implementation of software solutions, as an active participant in all phases of the software development lifecycle. We also expect this individual to support maintenance of our internal infrastructure and tools used across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement modern C++ software prototypes, components, and applications that are flexible and capable.
• Improve our infrastructure for building, testing, deployment and documentation of software that supports the next generation of robotic surgery systems.
• Design, develop and debug software for complex, multi-process systems.
• Collect and transform requirements developed by multi-functional teams into software solutions for medical devices.
• Share knowledge and provide technical guidance.
• Actively drive design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Bring passion, positive demeanor and a desire to continuously learn.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
B.S. or higher Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or similar degree) or equivalent meaningful work experience.
Required
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software product development.
• Demonstrated experience in modern C++ with a profound understanding of its compilation process.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Git, CMake, Docker, Conan, and Jenkins.
• Experience writing multi-process and multi-threaded software with practical knowledge of how this software can fail.
• Experience developing software for Unix systems and
• Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Good command of the English language.
Preferred
• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Rust, CUDA, Python, JavaScript, Bash).
• Experience with medical device development and related software documentation.
• Experience with networking for distributed systems.
• Experience with full stack development.
• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (e.g., QNX, VxWorks)
