Engineering Manager

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marine & Ports Division serves the shipping and ports industries through its extensive portfolio of integrated systems and solutions that improve the flexibility, reliability and energy efficiency of vessels and container terminals. By coupling power, propulsion, automation, marine software and services that ensure maximum vessel uptime, the Division is well positioned to help the marine industry to achieve its decarbonization targets while improving the profitability and sustainability of our customers’ business throughout the entire lifecycle of vessels. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design for engineering projects of medium complexity. You will provide technical recommendations and exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction. You will manage multiple projects efficiently and cost-effectively. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Your main tasks will be: • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, class societies, and suppliers for your scope of delivery. • Designing, documenting, testing, and delivering advanced automation and control systems for ships with electric propulsion. • Specifying software functionalities, interfacing I/O signals, and designing control cabinets. • Preparing and performing rigorous testing of control cabinets, servers, workstations, and networks in collaboration with clients and class societies. • Providing commissioning support both remotely and on-site. • Collaborating with our R&D and Sales departments to develop cutting-edge solutions for the ships of the future.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• We’re looking for relevant education, such and Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Automation, Electrical Power or Drives.
• You enjoy combining practical and theoretical knowledge and are committed to sharing knowledge within and across departments.
• Fluent in English with strong cultural awareness and respect for diversity, as we operate in an international environment with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds.
