Senior Project Engineer
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will act as the design authority for a low-voltage enclosure within ABB’s electrification product line. In this senior-level role, you’ll ensure both the electrical and mechanical design integrity and performance of the enclosure. You will oversee multiple assignments across medium-sized projects or significant portions of larger projects, delivering solutions that are cost-effective and aligned with customer specifications. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for upholding quality standards and meeting safety requirements throughout each project phase. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Area in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. You will be mainly accountable for: • Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements. • Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost. • Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned. • Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with low or medium voltage electrification or control products (Required).
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards such as IEC, UL, or IEEE.
• Proficiency with electrical diagramming tools, including EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in project management with effective negotiation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
