Job Description

Wood have an exciting opportunity on a long term contract with for a Senior Project Engineer or highly skilled Project Engineer. The work ranges from modifications to large scale projects on North Sea Assets. Staff, PAYE and Ltd co is availble.

In this role the SPE will be assigned to an asset and have direct responsible for the management of the TAR events for their asset in the North Sea. The role is a hybrid role and will be based working out of the client office/ WFH. Role requires management of all Wood project activities to support TAR or Outage events and supporting the wider client TAR Team as a member of the embedded TAR Delivery team.
In particular the candidate will be responsible for working with the multi-discipline team to co-ordinate and deliver on:-

TAR preparations; covering scope Optimisation, Planning, Offshore Execution and Close out.
Development of T&O Cost Estimates, Scope of Work and Delivery Schedule’s)
Budget management, Cost forecasting and reporting
Schedule, development and progression to ensure achievement of milestones
Development of Quarterly KPIs, including attainment schedule.
Development and maintenance of event readiness tracker covering all event scopes. 
Risk identification and management of whole TAR event and not just Wood developed scopes.
Quality Management and support to quality delivery and investigations, when required.
Maintaining and enhancing relationship with client and client asset
Supports delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project(s) through coordinating and delivering the engineering for an assigned project scope(s) to schedule and in accordance with applicable Company & Client procedures, specifications, and standards.
Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from one or more engineering disciplines to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications.
Monitors and supports compliance with quality, HSE and assurance standards.
Undertakes basic schedule preparation, planning and resource forecasting for engineering activities relating to the project.
Ensures accurate and timely delivery of work, to the satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
Alerts Project Manager in the event of potential delays or change; supports implementation of approved changes.
Coordinates and assures technical excellence of interdisciplinary project deliverables.
Coordinates discipline input to deliverables including Process/Utility Flow Diagrams, Engineering Flow Diagrams and, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Special Piping Item Lists, Joint Database Matrix and Requisition Index.
Able to coordinate input of a multi engineering discipline within more than one office location Quality, HSE and Assurance
Develops a working knowledge of engineering standards and procedures; participates in key events gaining practical experience.
Checks Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) implementation by review against standards, procedures, work practices and literature.
Prepares straightforward project specific procedures under guidance. Development and management of schedule
Plans individual work activities and manages time; liaises with disciplines to ensure timely receipt of comments.
Fully understand the requirements of the project schedule and hold regular reviews.
Expedite Engineers to deliver to schedule, fully understand reasons for delay and assist in developing recovery plans.
Reporting to Project Manager in terms of weekly KPI, Milestone attainment and readiness progress.
Single Point of Accountability for entire event from identify phase to close out. 

Qualifications

ISCED Level 6 Bachelor’s (minimum) degree or Level 7 Masters (preferred) in an engineering discipline
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Experience of previous TAR events is preference,
Good knowledge with change management is essential for the role,
Extensive experience gained either as a discipline engineer in a project environment or in more junior project engineering roles
Good understanding of technical work scope, key dates and milestones. es.
Completely familiar with project contractual and commercial requirements.
Fully conversant with project scopes and work carried out by all engineering disciplines andvarious interface and inter discipline coordination requirements among the various disciplines including procurement and construction.
Understands the concept of customer satisfaction and is able to deliver to internal customers,including other Engineering disciplines
Understands and knows how to apply the procedures and work practices which define andgovern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables
Understands the importance of Project Engineering deliverables and the need for accuracy andtimely issue
Commercially astute and aware of the importance of Change control.
Has a good knowledge of engineering standards, procedures and work practices; followsproject execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution.
Able to lead small team; develops skills of leadership with minimum intervention from manager.
