To our Global Sales Support Team we are looking for Senior L3 Support Engineer. As a Senior L3 Support Engineer, you will focus on ABB’s state-of-the-art Distributed Control Systems (DCS) ABB Ability System 800xA und Symphony Plus Melody. You will join a global acting team of specialists supporting ABB’s front-end organizations for all aspects of customer technical issue resolutions starting from design phase up to long-term operational phase. As a product specialist you will interact with Product Management, R&D and other subject matter experts to combine all technical expertise with an interest in finding customer solutions as well as addressing functionality aspects of our products. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support ABB’s front-end organizations in using ABB’s Process Automation DCS solutions with focus on ABB Ability System 800xA and Symphony Plus Melody
• Diagnose and troubleshoot on technical issues – evaluation of problem descriptions, analysis of log files, remote diagnostics in installed base, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, product development, and ABB front-end organizations, to address complex technical issues and improve products
• Build and maintain a technical infrastructure that support you and global team in developing and testing solutions, as well as reproducing product issues
• Build-up and maintain technical competence in ABB’s DCS product portfolio
• Work on competence development for local and global support teams

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in process automation, industrial communication (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus TCP) and in ABB DCS products System 800xA and Symphony Plus Melody is considered a big advantage
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
• Demonstrating ownership, applying a problem-solving solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills
• Fluent English language skills
• For this position there is very limited need of travelling, almost no travelling is required
