Job Description
Wood is presently looking to hire a Senior Instrumentation Designer (SPI / 3D) for ADNOC Offshore Central Engineering Division in Abu Dhabi. Below are more details about the position.
Responsibilities
Assist the senior designer in Instrumentation design activities by timely developing the drawings as per project and company quality standardsAbility to Analyze & understand Client requirementsAbility to develop Bills of MaterialsSPI, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D Modeling or 2D DraftingInstallation layouts (Instrument Location layouts, Air distribution, Main Cable Routing, Secondary cable tray). Building Layouts (Control Room Equipment layout, Earthing layout, Telecom layout). Instrument standard installation / Hookups and Cable block diagramLoop drawing, wiring diagram in 2D as well as in SPIEnsures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project managementCoordinate within members of discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors etc.Participate in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-outTakes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projectsShould be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication15+ years’ experience in I&C design, with minimum 5+ Years Engineering consultancyIn-depth knowledge of design tools – AutoCAD / Micro stationSPI, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D Modeling software experienceAbility to organize and set prioritiesAbility to communicate and present effectivelyAbility to report in in English, both verbal & in writing.Proactive attitude
