Service Manager

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be responsible to execute service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers in close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB. The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Motion Business Area based in Cairo Egypt. You will be mainly accountable for: •Performing installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of ABB Low Voltage (LV) & Medium Voltage (MV) Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). •Investigating problems and independently initiating effective measures for their solution. •Coordinating activities with related groups to most efficiently achieve objectives to ensure customer satisfaction. •Coaching and providing technical guidance to fellow colleagues, departments and customers. •Communicating effectively and presenting in formation to top management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. •Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. •Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs. •Checking bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts for needed for service activity and ensures that all materials, parts, and equipment are available for service execution. •Material handling, storage of shipments, handling spare parts and keeping inventory up to date, ensuring the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation. •Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Re-port work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed. •Proactively identifying potential drive system failures and requesting proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting drives failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future. •Proactively identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicating them further in the ABB organization. •Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer ser-vice. •Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. •Reporting unsafe practices and incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• 4 to 6 years hands-on experience in drives LV & MV – Installing, testing, repairing or trouble-shooting AC/DC drive systems and their associated controls
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, technical manuals and
• technical specifications
• Basic safety procedures Knowledge
• Work under pressure for long durations with maximum / effective output.
• Time management.
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
